LMFTS in 2015:

What Every Therapist Should Know

with CAMFT Executive Director
Jill Epstein, JD

After listening with rapt attention to Jill Epstein's presentation at CAMFT's Annual Conference in May, it was clear that our members needed to learn about important legislation that impacts LMFTs and what they can do to have a greater political influence.

Ms. Epstein will present an update on the current status of state and federal legislation affecting LMFTs based on her regular visits to Sacramento and Washington, DC.  Topics will include regulatory issues from the BBS, and CAMFT initiatives, including a summary of the recent demographic study of CAMFT members.  The meeting will conclude with Q+A, so this is your chance to ask questions like: How do we sign up for Medi-Cal? Are we ever going to be approved to work with the VA? What's going on in Texas? What's the status of AB 1775? And other burning issues you have been wondering about!

Attendees will:

  • Learn about pending legislation and how marriage and family therapists may be impacted by the bills
  • Gain insight into CAMFT’s strategic priorities
  • Connect with the Executive Director of CAMFT
